Kim Kardashian As The Black Dahlia

Kimmy covers the latest issue of YRB magazine. I'll be honest, I thought she was sposed to be Cleopatra at first and I was about to get up in arms for a second. She looks pretty damn good considering she's wearing black lipstick.

Watch This: Jay-Z Talks to MySpace Today

MySpace Today meets Jay Z Part 1

Hovito talks about Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint, Biggie and more... Love how they shot it by the piano. Would have preferred if he kept the shades off.

HOT Dog...

From Gaga's current V Magazine spread. With all those hermaphroditic rumors I gotta wonder if she might be hiding something under that little tuft of hair? Gross -- I know.

What The Fux??? Chris Brown "It's Like ... Wow."

Check out the first video from Chris Brown's exclusive new interview with Larry King Live airing this Wednesday, September 2nd at 9pm ET on CNN.

CHRIS BROWN talks exclusively to LARRY KING, in his first TV interview since his February arrest for assaulting fellow R&B star Rihanna. The interview airs on CNN’s Larry King Live, Wednesday, September 2, at 9 pm ET, and includes JOYCE HAWKINS, Brown’s mother, and MARK GERAGOS, Brown’s attorney. More Leaders of the New Cool Goodies From Ms. Brown & Spree Wilson

Sorry for the delay, but last Saturday had to be one of the best live nights at Lenny's I've ever experienced. The homie Dominique and Hollywood East put on yet another great installment of Leaders of the New Cool. I wanted to share some of the footage I took -- and there is still more to come.

The event was closed out by Mama's Mustache... If you haven't heard of them yet, I promise you will.

Had to borrow some footage from my good friend Maurice Garland:

KFC = A Kind For Cures

Check out this L.A. Kentucky Fried Chicken on the corner Exposition Boulevard and Hughes Avenue that's being converted into a Kind For Cures - a dispensary selling buds & edibles. Yummy :)

Watch This: Consequence ft. Whoo Kid "Q.U.E. Another E.N.S."

Special Guest Cameos by DJ Whoo Kid, Prodigy of Mobb Deep, Large Professor, Grafh, Q-Tip plus many more...

Dedicate This To Your Girl

Pussy - Brazilian Girls

If she likes it, you might get lucky!

Watch This: Donnis & Pill "Patna Dem" Freestyle

Over the last week, New York City and the internet as a whole have been buzzing about Donnis and Pill, two completely different type of rappers from opposite sides of the tracks yet from the same city of Atlanta. What alot of people may not know is that the two are good friends who have been supporting one another for a minute now. So it was only right, last night the two stopped by the Ballers Eve Show on East Village Radio in NYC and for almost 10 minutes freestyled over "My Potna Dem", completely off the top of the head. By the time it was all said and done a crowd had formed on the street watching these two bounce back and forth off one another (the studio is a glass square that can be looked into from the street) while multiple photographers snapped away. Enjoy

Last Night ... In Atlanta: Jaycee Shakim & Nabs Put On @ WAX

(DJ Nabs, DJ Shakim, DJ Jaycee & DJ Cowboy)

Last night I had the privilege of being present as DJs Jaycee, Shakim & Nabs put on what I'd consider the equivalent of a scratch clinic at Atlanta caribbean restaurant Aliyah's -- the current home of Wax Wednesdays. Check the footage below.

Watch This: Josh Xantus "First Time"

Josh X-an-tus - "First Time"

Awww -- what a sweet video. Homeboy is incredibly talented. The chemistry looks real in this one too.

Ain't No Party Like A Mick Boogie Party

Le Tourment Vert Absinthe is bringing folks out to PentHouse tonight at the Rivington Hotel... I can only imagine the results of a possible open bar with absinthe as the featured liquor. Be careful friends, that shit made Van Gogh cut his ear off. There is a reason why the ish was illegal for a minute.

Watch This: Sally Shapiro "Love In July"

Sally Shapiro "Love In July" from the album 'My Guilty Pleasure' from Paper Bag Records on Vimeo.

Yeah, I be on that "different" ish sometimes. Sally Shapiro dropped their sophmore album My Guilty Pleasure yesterday on Paper Bag records... This is one of the singles off the release. I'll be honest with you, I never heard of Sally Shapiro before, I just loved this video and dug the song. This is some real exclusive ish too... Only 300 copies of the release were pressed.

Oh and apparently the name "Sally Shapiro" refers to both the Swedish duo, consisting of the producer Johan Agebjörn and an anonymous singer, as well as the pseudonym of the singer itself. In December 2004 Agebjörn discovered Shapiro's gentle and beautiful voice while the two were singing Christmas carols together. Gotta love it.

Watch This: Asher Roth ft Keri Hilson "She Don't Want A Man"

Definitely glad they made a video for this one, it's dope to see them put visuals to it. I have a newfound appreciation for Asher after interviewing him for my August XXL "Best of Both Worlds"interview -- he was tons of fun...

Watch This: Skyzoo Presents "Saving Our Grace" Episode One

Thank You Skyzoo for putting some actual thought into your promotional campaign. I can't tell you how much I want to see this kid win. As a journalist there are a lot of lazy, unappreciative artists out there and Sky definitely ain't one of them. The kid deserves to win.

Watch This: R.City ft. Verse Simmonds "Can I Get On?"

Like it or not these V.I. boys are shaping the sound of a lot of what is coming out of studios these days. I just wish their label would let them be the great artists they are. Put the Fuckin' Album Out already!

Go Yazzy! Method Man Talks Red Tails

Fans self looking at cast of Red Tails... I always knew Meth could make it as a serious thespian, ever since that Erykah Badu "Next Lifetime" video. Come to think of it, a lot of our favorite rapper-ternt-actors got their early breaks with Ms. Badu *coughs* Andre Benjamin *coughs* Rashid Lynn *coughs*

This Weekend in Harlem: 135th Street Agency BBQ & Fish Fry

A host of Hip-Hop celebs, media and tastemakers celebrated the end of summer this past weekend at the 3rd Annual 135th Street Agency BBQ & Fish Fry in Mount Morris Park hosted by MTV’s Fonzworth Bentley, Hot 97 morning show host K. Foxx and DJ S&S.

Attendees included rappers Red Café, Ron Browz, DJ Cassidy, Papoose, Newz, Serius Jones and Saigon.

My homie DJ Profile kept everyone happy from behind the tables...

I'm pretty sure those cupcakes were made by Saptosa -- she brought some to my birthday dinner this year and they were quickly devoured!

My girls Shante and Saptosa are crazy official. Partners of the annual Harlem event included MetroPCS, Glaceau VitaminWater, Frito-Lay, Moet Hennessy, Heineken, and GoldenKrust Bakery.

Makes me miss NYC!

Coming Up In New York... Black August

Don't sleep on Black August. It's a real movement.

Listen To This: Donnis Diary of An ATL Brave

Mixed by Mick Boogie & DJ Benzi... Get it HERE.

Hello Guvna... This Is 50 Festival

All these years, and 50 is still the posterchild for big arms and a wifebeater...

Am I wrong for thinking somebody was paying homage to Michael Jackson with the vitiligo like shading on the right side of the face? Just asking.

Jokes aside, shouts to the homie Peter Oasis for his dedication to keeping hip-hop "live" and direct.

I'm Late And I Don't Care...

And to think, "in high school you was the man homie".

Please somebody get Stephon, I'm getting that Mariah Carey-TRL-Ice-Cream-Cart vibe from him.

Last Night... In Atlanta: Heineken Red Star Soul Concert

I hit up Velvet Room last night to see Mickey Factz & Big Boi perform, with the homie Mick Boogie on the wheels... Comedian Kevin Hart hosted.

I got Killer Mike to talk about his favorite new rappers out of Atlanta...

And watched him get hype about the upcoming Goodie Mob reunion on September 19

And Mickey Factz spoke about performing and his thoughts on the next Freshman Class for XXL:

I probably should have asked him why he was wearing two different colored shoes

Apparently they're some shmancy new exclusive Nike joints.

Take A Pill (Freestyle) Plus Killer Mike Weighs In

Pill goes kinda hard freestyling for Baller's Eve

I caught up with Killer Mike last night at Heineken's Red Star Soul Concert about public reaction to Pill's "Trap Goin Ham" video

Killer Mike is hands down one of the five most intelligent, logical rappers out. Period.

This Weekend in Atlanta ... I Ate Some Really Good Cupcakes

Yup. I bought a whole box. Sad part is, I got so high off the sugar from eating half of one that I completely forgot the entire box at the store. They was good though.

Oh and the ladies of C.R.E.W. represented! Tania, Barb, Tamika, Piper and Nailah all came along with me. Wouldn't Tania make a good Cami Cakes model?

Watch This: Run This Town

Finally they stopped teasing us and got right down to it. Not bad guys, kinda made me feel like I was watching 300 except no shrooms, so it wasn't quite as effective. Don't ask.

Watch This: Blue Scholars "Hi-808"

I love my Seattle homies and they put me on to Seattle based duo Blue Scholars so of course I gotta fux wit them too... Check the vid for "Hi-808" now playing on MTVU...

Geo of Blue Scholars provided some insight on the makings of the video on the Blue Scholars blog stating, "Earlier this year, we headed out to the old stomping grounds of Oahu, Hawaii to rock a show. We linked up with Kai Media to film a music video for HI-808, the song that inspired the rest of the OOF! EP. It was barely a week after we filmed the Coffee and Snow video, which is why we look so damn happy here."

Listen To This: K-Salaam & Beatnick

I've been crazy busy starting a non-profit (more on that later) so please forgive me for being super late posting K-Salaam & Beatnick's latest album. They are super duper dope and they do it for all the right reasons so I love them all the more for it. Download the album at IMEEM.

The long awaited EP from one of my favorite people on the planet Spree Wilson has finally arrived. Spree is like no other, I don't think I can say enough good things about him or his music... just know he writes, produces, plays mad instruments and helps people like Andre 3000 and Novel be the far-out rap/rock stars they are. Check out the EP art above and below.
