Countdown to NBA2K10 + Konsole Kingz & Don Cannon Make A Mixtape

NBA2K10 drops next week, October 6th and the features on this version are even more unbelievable. Just check out the screenshot below of cover boy Kobe and Shaq battling it out for a look at the graphics...

Apparently it's not just all about the NBA either -- rapper Wale also makes an appearance in the game.

Looks pretty hot right? I'll be honest though, I rarely have free time to play video games, so I'm a little more excited that the Konsole Kingz teamed up with Don Cannon to make a mixtape inspired by the game.

Of course Wale is featured, along with Ludacris, Slim Thug, Cool Kids, Freeway and my homie Sean Falyon are all included on what will be the first mixtape in the Konsole Kingz Music 2 Game 2 Series

Free Music Monday: DJ Parler & DJ Wonder Present Punk Smoove Sh*t

My homies DJ Wonder and DJ Parler teamed up to create this new mixtape. Here's what Wonder had to say about it:

"This was a collabo between Myself and DJ Parler for the party series that we do with RareForm NYC. Straight R&B, Smoothed Out Hip-Hop, New Jack Swing, Jay Dee Bang Bangs and More!

For my part of the mix I did a classic Ron G./Kid Capri-style Blends Tape. Ron even co-signed the mix on the intro!! For everyone who likes my Lip Service mixes – this has that flavor!!

Even if you’re not into mixtapes – check this out, I think it’s quality work…"

I'm sure there is some logical explanation for why this picture. Can anybody fill me in?

Looky Looky: Amerie Cover Art + Watch This: "Heard 'Em All"

Love the art, kinda reminds me of Gwen Stefani's Love Angel Music Baby cover...

Her video "Heard 'Em All"hit the net this week too. Don't know about that title tho, considering the single is sounding kinda familiar?

High quality ish though. Looks like somebody is getting loved up pretty nice over at Def Jam.

News I Fux Wit: Naked Man, 91, Holds Drunken Intruder At Gunpoint

Naked man, 91, holds drunken intruder at gunpoint

Published: Sep 21, 2009

LAKE WORTH, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a 91-year-old South Florida man jumped out of bed naked and held an intruder at gunpoint until deputies arrived. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said Robert E. Thompson woke up Saturday morning after a would-be burglar climbed his backyard fence and was met by his charging dog, Rettt, a Rottweiler and Doberman pinscher mix. Thompson heard the commotion, grabbed his .38-caliber revolver and phoned police without ever getting dressed.

Deputies said Thompson fired a warning shot as 26-year-old Jose Pasqual started to come toward him. Thompson kept his gun trained on Pasqual until deputies arrived.

Pasqual was booked in the Palm Beach County Jail on a burglary charge and did not immediately have an attorney.

Sorry Nice Try: "Mama I Want To Sing" Trailer

I really wanted to say Boo Ni**a Boo, but considering this is sposed to be somewhat of a Christian film, I spose I will reserve that particular comment. Billy Zane put some sugar in his tank for this one. I see my boo from "Notorious" is playing Ciara's brother -- but that shapeup and mustache they have him sporting is doing nothing for the cause. Now that's something worth saying boo ni**a boo about.

Coming Attractions: Ghostface Does MySpace

Can't beat a free show. BTW K-Salaam & Beatnick are some of my faves and they have some exciting news about their song "Don't Die," (which features Bun B, Talib Kweli, & Colin Munroe). It's going to be debuting on MTV's "The Drop" on Sept. 27th. "The Drop" features new hot music that doesn't have a video yet, but still deserves to be heard; so MTV adds their own visuals to the music. They actually do have a video in the works for "Don't Die," as well as a remix which features 88 Keys, so hold tight on that. But in the meantime, you can check us out on "The Drop" as the song will be in regular rotation. "Don't Die" will be featured on: MTV2, MTV Jams, & MTV Hits.

Watch This: Black Firecracker and Ebony Explosion Respond to Black Dynamite

Pure comedy... I think "Fu*k yo' lavalamp" and "No, cocaine gave us Richard Pryor" were my favorite moments. Nice to have some fresh jokes around cuz I'm sick of Lil Mama/Kanye!

Willie's Sad You Saw His Willy

Willie Taylor of Day 26 fame is the latest celeb to fall victim to hackers naked promo campaigns. After pictures of his manpart hit the net he released the following statement:

"It has been brought to my attention that private and personal photos of mine are currently circulating the web. As a man that is barely home with his family, my wife and I share some intimate moments the best way that we can. It is incredibly disturbing that someone with bad intentions would illegally hack into my email account and distribute these private moments to the world. I ask that everyone respect the privacy of my family. Also, I offer my sincere apologies to my fans."

Willie I apologize for not respecting the privacy of your family by Googling you. Your wife is a lucky woman.

Off his album of the same name -- Television -- I know you hear Brazilian Girls all over the track... as you should, since they (singer Sabina Sciubba and keyboardist Didi Gutman) are all over his 8 track collection. Now available digitally world wide, Television was made in London and Dakar, the Senegalese capital. I'm guessing he's from Senegal... I love African music right now... Iyadede! Amadou & Mariam! Fela Kuti! Matter fact I'm trying to go see Fela The Musical now that it's on Broadway (hint hint, somebody buy me some tix pls).

And to further confuse things they rock old school Polo gear!

Still love the song tho

Listen To This: Lil Jon ft. Kee "Give It All You Got"

Just when you thought it was safe... Lil Jon is coming with another album. Crunk Rock is due out this November, and this song (gotta love that "we never sober" line) produced by Red One is one of the featured numbers. Noice :)

Watch This: Sean Falyon "Inside Her"

BURR? Lol, Sean Falyon is quite the character and this video definitely highlights one of his strengths (or err, weaknesses, depending on how you look at it) but I think over all it's a good look for the kid. Don't Sleep on the Power of the Beard!

I guess this is only funny because it's not true, cuz it would be sad if it was true. Fortunately it's not so it's okay that I just peed my pants from laughing so hard.

Rest In Peace Adam Goldstein

This is the video that was put together for AM's memorial service which was held at The Paladium in Hollywood on Thurs September 3rd. RIP to a great friend and the greatest DJ. Edited by Dan Terndrup.

I am literally bawling like a baby.

Sunday Bloody Sunday

True Blood got a little creative with their Season 2 Finale promo. I actually like the more straightforward cut better. Watch it below:

Next Sunday can't get here fast enough. I'm True Blood-thirsty for real.

Pour Some ... Butter? On Me

I'm so confrused. Why was the half-naked Indian girl putting butter on the gun? Where they do that at? And the pig? With the grapes? Just wow.

It was supposed to be comedy though, right? Guns'N'Butter goin' H.A.M. cotdamn!

Watch This: Jay-Z Rhapsody Commercial

For the slow folks out there -- he just recreated all his album covers one by one... This is the kind of thing that gets me excited about commercials.

COMMERCIALS > VIDEOS in my opinion because they tend to be smarter, funnier and shorter!!!

Who Is Ester Dean???

I guess we'll find out soon enough since her song "Drop It Low" ft. Chris Brown is one of the singles off the "More Than A Game" soundtrack...

Last Night ... In Atlanta: Killer Mike Underground Atlanta Listening Session

Y'all already know how much I love Killer Mike. He's one of the smartest, coolest, realest MC's to ever breathe so imagine how stoked I was to see him looking absolutely GEEKED over the love Atlanta showed him at his listening at Mood Lounge last night.

The spot was packed with many of the artists who appear on the Underground Atlanta compilation -- including Princess of Crime Mobb, Slimm Calhoun and Fonzworth Bentley -- who embraced me after I overwhelmed him with my forces of good energy once he confessed to not messing wit bloggers too tough.

Hey ifuxwit you Bentley :)

Grind Time's current Underground Atlanta Golden Child Pill was also in the building...

Since we're talking about energy I might as well tell you Pill is really that nikka. Aside from the Newports I caught him holding, I can't find anything I don't like about him. I"m looking forward to watching his story unfold.

I also spotted Bonecrusher outside, along with Big Kountry and Big Boi's Lil Bruh (um, did I spell that right?). Crusher was nice enough to introduce me to his artist Sean Falyon, who made this really cute face for me. Lovely right?

And here's a little about the project:

Some of ATL’s finest make up the two-disc masterpiece, most of whom helped to create and/or contribute to the Crunk, Snap & Pop, Trap and Swag movements: from T.I., Gucci Mane, Soulja Boy, OJ Da Juiceman, Young Dro, Pastor Troy, Yung Ralph and Shawty Lo to Princess of Crime Mob, Big Kuntry King, Bobby Creekwater, Dem Getaway Boyz, Rich Kidz, Stat Quo, Da Backwudz, B.o.B, Khujo, Fonzworth Bentley and Slimm Calhoun, the set has major mass appeal. It came out Tuesday, go get that!

Watch This: K'Naan in the Studio With Buckshot

Sounds pretty damn good. Props to Duck Down on the video editing -- I like those graphics, guess I need to call Dru Ha & NoHa about them hooking up some of my vids.

Before There Was Chris Brown

Maybe Karrine Steffans isn't such a big liar after all.

Superhead's babydaddy lays down his man law... it ain't pretty

So You Want to Work In The Music Biz?

Everyone doesn't need to be a rapper/singer/A&R... Miami native Stefan Johnson tells me about his job as an audio engineer.

Leslie Braitwaite (who Stefan mentioned) is a pretty big deal btw -- very well respected in the music industry. Just goes to show you that you don't have to be the guy on stage to get the money, power or respect.

Shakin It For The Lord

That deacon board ... LOL.
