Dear Jazmine, Not Sure How To Feel About This Commercial



On the one hand I'm happy that she's getting endorsements -- and hey, I like wearing cotton too-- but something about me strikes me as very "Gone With The Wind" for some reason. And don't you dare tell me we're living in the post racial era.

Haha, i mean, it's not like they have her picking cotton... she's wearing it! But, post-racial era? Not at all. It's a *less* racial era (at least on our side of the globe), but there're still rednecks and Mel Gibson out there!
Back to this cotton bullshit. My thing is, why do we need general ads on cotton? For what? Was there a single human being who changed their mond about wearing a pair of woll pants after seeing this commercial? Maybe I was contemplating using tinfoil to dry my ass after a shower, but after this commercial, I see the light(?).
