Watch This: Behind the Scenes BENZ "I Might"
I Fux Wit It associate Gabriel Hart spent the weekend in Jackson, Mississippi to direct a series of videos for Benz... Check out some behind the scenes video from the shoot:
Yung LA Wants To Elroy Me (And He Even Tells Me What It Means!!!)
Everybody seems to like the Yung LA and Rico Barrino song "Futuristic Love" but nobody seemed to know what the heck "I wanna Elroy you" meant -- so I went straight to the source to find out.

Listen To This: Peter Hadar & Theophilus London "Want U4 Myself
I keep Peter Hadar's "Well Dressed for the Art Show" in regular rotation in my car and it's always inevitable that if I have a passenger along for the ride they ask, "What is this?" Sometimes they fux wit it and sometimes they don't, but I love Peter for inhabiting his own lane, owning his own style and coming up with a sound I find extremely sexy. Check out his latest single with Theophilus London "Want U4 Myself" below:
Last Night... In Atlanta: Leaders of the New Cool
Last night I hit up Lenny's Bar in Atlanta to support my homie party/concert promoter Dominique's (pictured above with Tuki Carter of Hollyweerd) Leaders of the New Cool Event... The lineup was pretty dope -- Laws, Harlem's Cash, Muffy and Hollyweerd. The event turned out to be a great one, with Haziq hosting in his fucking fire ass Jeremy Scott limited edition winged Adidas.
I think they were the only kicks in the bldg more fire than my homie Jason "Jah" Lee's silver & orange SB Blazers.
I've been bumping Laws' DJ Smallz/J.U.S.T.I.C.E League mixtape "Your Future Favorite Rapper" since June, when JL producer Rook put me onto it, so I was excited to see him perform.
I was equally amped to see Hollyweerd perform their new Spree Wilson produced single "I Wanna Meet Her" for the first time. I lurve it... hopefully you will too.
Saw a lot of great folks in the bldg including Anthony David, SugarTongue Slim, Grand Hustle's Clay Evans, Warner's Orlando McGhee, Yung Joc, Coach K, fellow writer Jacinta Howard, DJ Smallz, producer Kels_TN2 and the whole J.U.S.T.I.C.E League crew (Rook, Kenny, Colione).
I had a great time at Leaders of the New Cool and can't wait for the next one!

Last Night... In Atlanta: Verse Simmonds + R.City + Keke Wyatt
Last night, Darkchild/Interscope R&B artist VERSE SIMMONDS headlined Sambuca Jazz CafĂ©’s Tuesday night “Feng Shui” music showcase. Backed by a live band, the Virgin Islands native sang his current radio hit, “Buy You a Round (Up & Down),” along with several tracks from his sensual mixtape The Sex Tape Chronicles.
Also on stage were special guests, Interscope recording artists/songwriters Rock City.
In a surprise appearance, Keke Wyatt joined the show and belted a couple songs, including her classic “My First Love” accompanied by producer Bryan Michael Cox on the keyboard

BMI Brings The Talented Brothers Out For Ladies Night in ATL
I've been trying to keep the newly grown and sexy Sammie as my own personal little secret for a little while now, but after my XXL editor Clover Hope assigned me to interview him about "Kiss Me Through The Phone" for our Best of Both Worlds column, I knew now that he's matured from his days as a kiddie crooner he'd recapture more than a few hearts as an adult. BMI featured him at their Ladies Night showcase in Atlanta last night (Tuesday July 21st)at Sambuca.
BMI Presents: Ladies Night Out also featured performances from singer/songwriter Kevin Cossom (responsible for some of hip-hop's most popular hooks) and 19-year-old singer Unique. Those of your familiar with my work may recall the Show & Prove story I did on him for the April Issue of XXL).
(Sammie, Kevin Cossom & Unique with Catherine Brewton, Wardell Malloy & Byron Wright).
Thanks to Jamil & Kay for the invite to the event. It was a great one.

Shameless Marketing & Promotion
My homie Tania AKA K.lee dragged me out to Onyx last night so that she could promote not one - but two - of our CREW related projects. If you haven't been introduced to Body Magic yet, that's the black bustier looking number she's rocking and she capped it off by wearing Safetyz men's boxers (I posted about them last week)on top. I'm a little more conservative than her so I wasn't sure about the 'fit, but Tania pulled it off like a champ -- getting more than a little attention from Onyx's DJ, the dancers and a good number of patrons.
Special shoutout to Dallas Martin @ Def Jam & birthday girl Monica over at Onyx.
Keep an eye out for more CREW related posts coming in the near future.
I Keeps It Gutter... Or Not
The homie Timmhotep sent me this post on Fonzworth Bentley laying down gentleman's law and I almost spit the water I was drinking out of my mouth. Personally I think he's kind of a soft look for Street Level but Timm swears he's a stone cold gentleman.
Keep On Serving It Up
